Holiday Gift Idea - The Flour Pot Cookies Review

Sunday, November 15, 2009 Posted by Rita A

I just love cookies. It makes me smile to see and eat beautifully decorated cookies. The talent of the cookie makers amazes me. Taking cookies to a fine art is The Flour Pot - A Cookie Boutique. The Flour Pot is a labor of love run by Margie and Abbey, a mother and daughter team. With Margie's designs and Abbey's business skills, they grew The Flour Pot into a prominent cookie business with some very high class clients like Polo Ralph Lauren, Saks Fifth Avenue and The Omni Hotels. Their cookies have been featured in many publications and on The Food Network. The beautiful Christmas Lights cookies are mentioned in Oprah's O-list for the month of December 2009.

The cookies are simply gorgeous. The online shop also reflects the design style and is a pleasure to browse through. Many designs are available for just about every occasion imaginable. Holidays, birthdays, bridal, corporate events, logo cookies and more are lovingly created by The Flour Pot. For this review I am honored to have received a sampling of a holiday cookie selection - Night Before Christmas.

They are almost too pretty to eat. Look at the adorable Santa ! It is a heart shape upside down to make the Santa face. So clever. A jolly cookie indeed. The Christmas tree is very festive in its green, red and white colors. My favorite is the Rudolph cookie. It is an upside down gingerbread shape to make the face of Rudolph. So imaginative. I love the bright Christmas colors of these cookies. The Flour Pot has many holiday offerings for this season. Snowflakes, Gingerbread, Snowmen, Lights, Polar Bears and Penguins to Peace on Earth Doves. Each is hand decorated in fun, festive colors. Not only are they pretty, they taste fantastic. It is a nice buttery cookie with a soft chew. It is a generous thick cookie with a lovely flavor. These cookies are a treat for the eyes and the tastebuds.

The Flour Pot has a special right now for the Holiday Cookies. 20% off the Holiday Collection by using Holiday20 at checkout. It is only good online and through November 25th so order quickly. Cannot be combined with other offers.

For Oprah readers you may have seen The Flour Pot Christmas Light cookies on page 104 of the December issue. By using the code OPRAH you can get eight of the Light cookies for $20.00. That's a savings of $3.00.

There is something special about holiday cookies. It must be the visions of sugarplums dancing in our heads. Visit The Flour Pot Cookie shop for a treat this holiday or for year round occasions. I wonder if you leave a Flour Pot Santa cookie for Santa you would get more goodies? The elves are saying yes!

Many thanks to Margie of The Flour Pot for providing the review sample.
