Lawry's Get Grilling Flavor Forecast - Giveaway (ends 7/17)

Wednesday, July 07, 2010 Posted by Rita A

I hope everyone had a delicious BBQ for the 4th. We certainly did. I was introduced to new and exciting flavors from Lawry's.

I have been a devoted Lawry's Seasoned Salt user for years. I always reach for it in my grilling. Courtesy of My Blog Spark I have two new products to add to my grilling arsenal. Lawry's has created wonderful flavor combinations of marinades! The tastes are so delightful and they are so easy to use. Simply marinade for 30 minutes for great taste.

Grilling is one of my favorite ways to cook. Our grill is fired up year round. Finding new flavor ideas adds to the grilling adventures. Lawry's newest marinades added such a kick of flavor to our 4th BBQ. I made chicken kabobs using two different new tastes. Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato Marinade is made with extra virgin olive oil, sun dried tomatoes, sweet red bell peppers and a blend of herbs. I loved the rich tomato flavor of this marinade. It smelled really good too. The herbs tantalize the senses. The tomato taste reminded me of a very good Italian pasta dish. I made simple chicken kabobs for grilling but I would love to create a grilled chicken pasta dish with the Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato Marinade. Mmmmm Sounds delish. Lawry's suggests Tuscan Grilled Lamb Chops. I bet those are scrumptious. The next marinade flavor is Szechuan Sweet and Sour BBQ Marinade. This flavor received rave reviews from my hungry bunch. The chicken made in this marinade was gone the fastest. The flavor combination of Chinese Five Spice, ginger, sesame oil and red pepper, woke up my boring chicken. I will definitely be purchasing the Szechuan Sweet and Sour BBQ Marinade for more great grilling. I think it would be great on ribs. I am drooling thinking about it. For delicious grilling ideas from Lawry's take a look at the Let's Grill recipe section. Warning it will make you hungry!

The Flavor Forecast 2010 has amazing new pairings to add excitement to your grilling.

Applewood & Plum - Juicy plums accent smoky applewood and add flair to all-American barbecue.

Cilantro & Lime - Cutting across the diverse cuisines, this bright and zingy pair is a refreshing taste of summertime.

Rosemary & Fig - Figs are an unexpected and regionally inspired match for aromatic rosemary.

Chipotle & Maple - This culinary comingling deliver a fresh take on smoky, spicy and sweet.

Brown Sugar & Bourbon - This duo brings a delicious dose of Southern charm to the patio.

Cinnamon & Coffee - Bold and confident - with just the right edge of bitterness.

Red Chili Sauce & Mango - The flavor of mango takes hot or sweet red chili sauce far beyond mere "condiment status."

Take your grilling to all new taste directions. Try Lawry's new Marinades. You can find lawry's products at your local grocers.

Make sure to oil your grill grate BEFORE putting any food on it. It helps keep food from sticking.

When I make steak, I like to cook baked potatoes on the grill. I pierce them with a fork and rub them with vegetable oil. They take a little longer to cook, so I put them on before the steak. Thanks for the review and giveaway!

add lemon pepper to Ahi Tuna. Throw it on a hot, hot gril and count to 10. Flip it and count to 10 again. Put on a bed of lettuce and drizzle with balsamic vinager. Yum!

My hubby likes to use one of Jeff Smith's recipes from an old Frugal Gourmet cook book we own (The Frugal Gourmet Cooks American). The recipe is called Graduate School Pot Roast. The marinade has water, SF meat tenderizer, light soy sauce, Kitchen Bouquet, Colman's dry mustard, and black pepper in it!!!! He marinates the pot roast or chuck for about 1/2 hour, then grills it!!! Yummy!!!
