Wisk Works - Lab Test!

I am excited to be part of a home lab experiment for the new Stain Spectrum™ Technology of Wisk.

There are hundreds of different stains but most stains fall into three major groups:
* Carbohydrates such as milk chocolate
* Proteins such as grass
* Oils such as peanut butter


The experiment was a lot of fun. I got to play mad scientist for a moment. I was supplied with a Protein-Stained Swatch, Dropping Pipette, Plastic Beaker, Goggles, Lab Coat, and a bottle of Wisk® Laundry Detergent. The swatch was a good size, stained with protein, it looked like grass. Taking the swatch I proceeded to follow the directions for the lab experiment. Drawing a little Wisk detergent into the pipette, I made a great big "W" on the swatch. Within seconds you could see it working. I let it sit for 2 minutes and you could see it taking away the stain. After the 2 minutes, I swished the swatch in a beaker of warm water. The "W" was clearly becoming more visible as the detergent was washed away. A few more swishes in the water and presto.... a super clean "W". I must say the Wisk was amazing to watch work. I guess the "W" means WOW! This was clean with just a swish in a beaker. Imagine the results in your washer.



I love the fragrance of the Wisk. It is fresh and light. I put it to use in my washer to freshen up a couple of blankets. Wisk did a fantastic job on cleaning the blankets. They were a little brighter and definitely fresher. Great Job Wisk!

My Brother in Law is Riding for LIVESTRONG

The complete meal in the pouch is for two people so it worked out perfect for us for dinner. The cooking procedure is so simple. Straight from the freezer, pour the bag contents into a 10 inch nonstick skillet with 1/3 cup of milk. Cover and cook over medium heat for 12 to 15 minutes while stirring occasionally. The meal is done when the sauce is bubbly and melted, the spinach is cooked and the pasta is tender. You can also prepare the entree in the microwave!

We loved the taste of the Grilled Chicken Florentine. The creamy Parmesan sauce had a hint of garlic. The pasta was done to perfection while the spinach added a lovely taste. I loved the chicken while my hubby would have liked more chicken. Then again he is pretty much an all meat eater and less pasta kind of guy. We had more than plenty for two servings. I served it with a fresh green salad and it was fantastico! I would definitely purchase the Romano's Macaroni Grill Frozen entrees again.

The Caramel corn is made with fresh butter, all American sugar, and a special blend of secret spices. The caramel is made fresh then completely coats the popcorn is golden bliss. I love the buttery flavor of the caramel. It has a real home made caramel taste. It is not too sticky but perfectly decadent in caramel taste. You can't stop eating it!

The Zebra Chocolate is scrumptious. Popcornopolis takes their fantastic caramel corn and coats it with generous drizzles of rich dark chocolate. That is not all, then it is drizzled with luscious white chocolate. The crunch of the caramel corn by itself is divine but then the chocolate sends your taste buds into flavorific overload. The Zebra Chocolate popcorn is so delicious it has been featured on the Food Network. It is addictingly good! We found ourselves picking through all the Zebra Chocolate popcorn for the pieces coated with the most chocolate. Mmmm so yummy.

The Kettle Corn is a lighter taste with the sweet and salty combination. The popcorn is big full fluffy pieces coated with a perfect blend of sugar and salt. I have always loved getting fresh kettle corn at events and the Popcornopolis flavor is the best.

The Cinnamon Toast is just like eating fresh cinnamon toast for breakfast. The buttery flavor with the cinnamon and sugar, pop a few pieces in your mouth and enjoy the richness. I loved the warm cinnamon flavor. Very tasty indeed!

Popcornopolis makes 20 scrumptious popcorn flavors. The hard part is choosing which One 2 Try. The Confectional: Cheesecakes - Giveaway (ends 8/31)

Cheesecake to me is pure decadence. Something about the creamy texture, how it melts in your mouth hitting all your taste buds with smoothness. Have I got a treat for you today. The Confectional. Their motto is "Confess Your Love For Cheesecake". The Confectional makes Heavenly cheesecake.

I first became aware of The Confectional on a TLC show - Crazy For Cheese. Wanting to lick the TV, I was drooling over the assortment of pure decadence cheesecakes. I was planning my trip to Seattle and looking for the best airfares before the segment was over because I have to get to The Confectional. I just have to! There is a cheesecake with my name on it! Imagine how excited I am to tell you that The Confectional has brought their beautiful cheesecakes to me!

The Confectional is lovingly owned by Paul with his partners, Troy and Destiny. The boutique is located in the famous Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington. Started in 2004 by Paul, while in New Zealand then bringing his business to the Pike Place Market in 2006, the joy of making cheesecake is a true passion. They enjoy baking them so we can enjoy eating them!

The quality of ingredients is only the finest and purest. The thick crusts are made from Maria biscuits from Spain. The products do not contain hydrogenated oils. Fresh eggs only come from cage free hens. To make the cheesecakes extra special they are topped with a signature sweetened sour cream.

Lemon White Chocolate

Words can not express the decadence in each bite of these amazing flavors. The oh my goodness this is good eye roll explains it the best! One of my favorite flavors was the Lemon White Chocolate. The creaminess of the cheesecake was delightfully made with fresh lemon juice and lemon zest in a rich white chocolate combination. The flavor was rich from the chocolate with the added zing of the lemon. Topped with the oh so good sour cream, this is a cheesecake I would fly to Seattle for! My goodness it melted in your mouth giving you the sweet and slightly tart taste sensation at the same time. Amazing. The one cheesecake that I wish I had 3 or 4 more of is the Raspberry White Chocolate. It happens to be The Confectionals most popular flavor! After tasting, I can see why. The white chocolate cheesecake is filled with whole sweet raspberries on a thick rich chocolate crust. Pure dreaminess. Raspberry with chocolate has always been one of my favorite combinations and this cheesecake....it brings those flavors together in such a scrumptious treat. I need to order more! For a pure chocolate flavor, the Mexican Chocolate was incredible. This cheesecake was a spicy blend of chocolate, cayenne pepper and cinnamon. The taste was rich chocolate then you get the spicy slow burning heat that lingered in taste. Muy Delicioso. Each of the gourmet flavors made for the perfect sweet treat cheesecake. We loved them all!

For those of us at a distance - fear not, you can order cheesecakes to be sent by Fedex throughout the United States including Alaska and Hawaii. Take it all off Thursday! - Nutrisystem Update

A big drum roll please! I am in my 22nd week of Nutrisystem and, are you ready for this.... I have hit 20 pounds lost! Woo Hoo I am so excited.

It was really not easy these past two weeks. I was on vacation last week and you know how being on vacation seems to make the brain forget to eat correctly. I ate a lot on vacation. I made the effort to enjoy the experiences and the company instead of focusing on the foods. Yes I did indulge, but I did not eat everything in sight. I kept the portions small. I did a lot of sharing meals. A little taste of this and that was enough to satisfy. For me that worked out okay and I did not feel deprived. It is also not so easy to review such great foods here on One 2 Try but I have a system for all that tasting.

After my vacation I was right back on track with the Nutrisystem foods. Funny thing is, I missed the foods. I am so used to eating in a controlled manner, that without the structure I really noticed the difference. I feel much better when I am eating healthier. The foods have always tasted good to me. Now with the 20 pounds lost, I am proud to say Nutrisystem helped me get there.
